At the Book Passage in Corte Madera
This piece will appear on the much anticipated book, Nothing But The Truth So Help Me God: 73 Women of Life’s Transitions, due to be published on May 3, 2014, and which will feature the likes of well known writers like NY Times best-selling authors Kelly Corrigan and Gabrielle Bernstein, as well as many other women, eager to share how transitions in their lives brought them unexpected gifts, lessons, and growth.
I came to this by winning an Anthology contest through A Band of Women, one of the biggest social network website, a community of 7,000+ women/mothers from all over the United States. The contest required the participants to write a piece on a major transition in their life, and I elected to write about the time when I became an empty nester. I received the most amount of positive feedback and was chosen as the winner.
